Fox News - They Lie...You Decide

DON'T DRINK
THE KOOL-AID

I'm so sick of everyone that watches Fox news having that holier than thou attitude.......that they watch the "fair and accurate" news. They are under some delusion that their news is less liberal and therefore less biased and more accurate. Well............they are wrong according to World Public Opinion.org which is a publication of the Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA).

PIPA says that people who get their news from Fox have more misperceptions than those who get their news from any other source they looked at. Check out the article and the full report for more details. Even this left wing nut was surprised at the correlation between the particular news a person watches/read/listens to and the number of misperceptions they have.

There have been other studies done concerning the factual accuracy and sensationalism of the news. Fox is typically dead last in accuracy reporting the news. In addition, Fox news supporters say that the network is not biased toward the right. They always accuse other national news organizations of being left leaning and that the public is so used to that - we somehow can't recognize when the news is truly unbiased. I say that is bullsh**. Those of you who say the authors of these studies are biased - check it out for yourselves.

Another media watch group I looked at while writing this story is FAIR. They seem to criticize every mainstream media outlet, including Fox. Can't be more unbiased than that. Check out Fair's article on Fox News.

So, you Fox watchers go on and live in ignorant, hyped up, sensationalized and inaccurate bliss. I just report - you decide.

So, tell us something, Susan: World Public Opinion... would you say they are liberal, or conservative? Then, other than the fact that you agree with them, how have you validated their statements, positions, "research", etc.?

My second question, Susan, could you give us, say, THREE examples of someone who has lied on Fox? Be very specific, because this is a challenge, and I intend to eat your lunch, so to speak.

I'll be here with bells on!

Mark,
I posted this blog entry two years ago, but if you will notice - I have a link inside the article to a poll that should give you the examples you would like.

Susan, look, THAT is the problem. Screw your commie pinko web site (which it IS)... I want to know, what does SUSAN T H I N K ?

As quickly as you dismiss Fox News and use the word "lie", you ACCEPT the information you get from ONE source - and it IS a liberal one, Susan.

Relative to polls, I DISMISS them, even when I agree with them, UNLESS I know 1) the questions and 2) the composition of the respondent pool. The MAJORITY of pollsters won't tell you that.

However, the majority of CONSERVATIVE pollsters, like the KATO institute and my favorite BALANCE guy, Dr. Frank Luntz, do. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE. They don't have to skew the questions or manipulate the respondent demographic to get a predetermined answer!

Just because you disagree with someone does NOT mean they are liars, Susan. That is the M.O. of liberals, which I submit is because many of them have a difficult time dealing with the truth. The truth does not often jibe with their beliefs. History supports that, by the way.

ONE reason I became a conservative (I am a libertarian) is that I consistently found my conservative friends generally more HAPPY and WELL-ADJUSTED than my liberal ones, who are PERPETUALLY pissed-off about something... most often things over which they have ZERO power and/or are doing NOTHING to change. Negative attitude is unhealthy in many ways, and the MAJORITY of liberals I have met all over the country (I have lived in ELEVEN states) are NOT happy, positive people. YOU, TOO, SEEM VERY ANGRY, SUSAN. IT IS WRITTEN ALL OVER YOUR WEB SITE. YOU HAVE A CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER THE SIZE OF GIBRALTER. That saddens me.

NOTHING is less fun to me than to hanging around with a bunch of unhappy liberals who sit around spewing intellectual bullshit and generally pissin' and moanin' about the problems of the world.

I was at one of those parties last week Friday night. I left after an hour, with four other people I just met who felt the same. We went to a martini bar, and had a BLAST. One of them, as we were walking out the front door of the "party house", said simply "YIKES". Amen.

And I have a feeling you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. You have probably been there yourself.

Incidentally, I'll be sitting this election out. NONE of the candidates is capable of running this country. The two party system is dying a thousand deaths as we speak, because the two parties are like zombies - they're dead, but they don't know it yet.

NOW GO OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN!

Susan, Mark asked you for examples of people who had lied on Fox. You told Mark you had put a link to a POLL, in the article. All a poll says is how many people agree with something, that does not mean it's right. I don't care how many people are pro-abortion, it's still nothing short of murder.
Have you ever actually WATCHED Fox News. I bet you haven't. And if you ever do, I bet you will see that Fox is fair and balanced.
I'll give you a reason why I think so. Yesterday I heard a Priest say one of his students had really been involved in Wicca. He would have regular conversations with her about Jesus and apostles, Mary, and the Catholic Church. One day she said, "I hate this. I'm walking out of here agreeing with you." Later, he baptized her.
The moral of the story is, when you actually see the truth, you will not be able to deny it.
By the way, in case you didn't know, Bill O'Reilly is the one who made "Don't drink the Kool Aid" famous.

He would have regular conversations with her about Jesus and his apostles and Mary. One day she said, "I hate this, because I'm walking out of here, and I'm agreeing with you."
